St Croix National Golf Course weaves through stands of native pine and follows a rolling landscape once carved by glaciers. In the spring of 2023, a newly expanded clubhouse and patio opened to the public providing breathtaking views over this seasonally changing landscape.
Perched on a slope above the 18th green, the clubhouse patio offers expansive views of the landscape and the fairways that meander through it. Three levels are terraced into the slope, creating an upper dining patio, mid-level outdoor games terrace, and lower 19th tee patio. On the 19th tee box, guests can relax after a round and get a few more swings in. Around the corner to the south, an 18-hole putting course was integrated into the hillside complete with water features, outdoor music, and landscaping, providing yet another unique amenity at St. Croix National. The new club amenities, implemented in phase one, are designed to enhance the experience, broaden the venue’s appeal, and drive new revenue.
For Phase two, Damon Farber has redesigned the arrival experience, envisioned a new drop-off lane to accommodate the expanded restaurant and golf events, and developed an infiltration basin in the parking lot to manage stormwater and arrange accessible parking stalls. The entry experience to the clubhouse is accentuated by low level pedestrian lighting and delineated crosswalks and enhanced with native landscaping and indigenous stone to visually guide guests to the front entry.
