Battle Creek Waterworks

The remodel and expansion of the Ramsey County Waterworks aquatic facility followed nearly 25 years of service to the community. The project introduced a variety of new features and upgrades to create a more engaging and lasting visitor experience. Shade structures, synthetic turf seating terraces, toddler play zones, and dedicated dining patios with overhead pergolas were added to enhance comfort and usability. Accommodations for food truck parking just outside the pool facility now allows for an ever-changing selection of food options throughout the summer. The design targeted an expanded age range with new amenities to encourage longer visits and serve a broader segment of county residents. Maintenance concerns were addressed to reduce the annual upkeep burden and position the facility for decades of successful operation. In addition, the perimeter pool walls, coping, and tile were restored, aquatic amenities and play features were updated, drainage issues were resolved, and the pools were re-lined to ensure both functionality and longevity.
