Damon Farber Landscape Architects led a team of historians and historic architects to complete a Cultural Landscape Report for the historic Glensheen Estate completed in 1908 and currently owned and operated by the University of Minnesota, Duluth. The 12 acre site is the most visited house museum in the state. The extensive report provides site history, documentation and analysis of the landscape features and site structures in addition to recommendations for rehabilitation phased over several years.

Collaborating with historic architects, DF continued work at the estate by completing several phases of recommended treatment. The rehabilitation projects included the cutting garden outside the gardener’s cottage and the extensive rehabilitation of the formal terrace interpreting the original 1907 planting plan.
