Rachel Peterson

Associate

As an Associate at Damon Farber, Rachel brings a comprehensive approach to the firm's work, engaging with projects from high-level urban planning and concept ideation through to detailed site design and construction documents. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Minnesota and brings five years of professional experience to her role. Drawing on her undergraduate background in biology and psychology, Rachel’s work is deeply rooted in the human experience. She is consistently inspired by the built environment’s ability to foster meaningful connections between people and the natural world.

Rachel’s work focuses on creating everyday spaces where people and the surrounding landscape support one another. She designs spaces that feel intuitive and welcoming, shaping how people move, gather, and connect with both each other and a place.

"I realized I wanted to make an impact in the small, everyday moments. Whether it’s a plaza that naturally brings people together or a park that helps someone feel connected to the landscape around them, those moments of connection are what drive my work.”

When she’s not designing, you can find her exploring local parks and breweries with her dog Wallace.
