Essentia Hospital Duluth

Across a series of streetscape, courtyard, and rooftop spaces the Essentia Health site interprets the dynamic native ecosystems of Minnesota. The $800 million, downtown Duluth project, will build approximately 928,000 square feet of new space and renovate another approximately 120,000 square feet in existing facilities. By consolidating the campus, Essentia Health’s overall footprint will be reduced, opening space for other development in Duluth’s Central Hillside neighborhood. Also improving the availability, affordability and quality of care for Duluth and the region. The landscape will be a native drought tolerant interpretation of the Northwoods / Lakeshore ecosystem.
