Target Site Design Guidelines

Damon Farber Associates worked closely with the Target Corporation to produce a comprehensive set of Site Design Guidelines for application to new and existing Target stores nationwide. The guidelines major goal is to facilitate a collaborative effort that will bring together various departments within the Target Corporation, and outside consultants to comprehensively address all factors relating to a Target site. This collaborative approach will lead to improved site planning, civil engineering and landscape architectural designs that greatly improve the guest experience and site appearance of Target stores, and reduce future maintenance costs. The guidelines strive to improve consistency amongst stores. When properly implemented the new guidelines will dramatically increase the branding presence of all Target store exteriors. Furthermore the guidelines intend to reduce the amount of ‘custom’ design on store exteriors saving significant time and money.
