Glensheen

Duluth, MN

Damon Farber Landscape Architects led a team of historians and historic architects to complete a Cultural Landscapes Report for Glensheen Mansion. Owned by the University of Minnesota, the site is the most visited house museum in the State, with over 140,000 visitors in 2017. The extensive report provides documentation of the character defining features of the estate, in addition to recommendations for rehabilitation phased over several years. The first phases of recommendations are moving forward as Glensheen prepares to offer return visitors new experiences at this Lake Superior estate.
