Minnetonka Parks System Plan

The City of Minnetonka has over 50 parks and over 90 miles of off-road trails. The purpose of the Park System Plan is to establish a clear, 10-15 year road map for how to update parks to create a balanced system of amenities and recreational experiences. To help identify and understand the values, needs and preferences of the community, there was an extensive in-person and virtual community engagement effort, including surveys, community conservations, stakeholder interviews and an interactive, online engagement tool, Minnetonka Matters, through the Bang the Table platform. This effort has been intentional to reach out to traditionally underrepresented groups including seniors, youth, BIPOC, and people with disabilities to ensure this park system will be an asset for the whole community.
