The
City of Eagan hired Damon Farber Associates to complete the Master
Plan for a 57 acre park to be centrally located within the City
of Eagan; thus creating it’s name – “Central Park”
The park includes
many amenities. Damon Farber Associates was the primary influence
regarding the location and orientation of the $14 million Community
Center. Care was taken to minimize the environmental impacts to
existing wetlands and Oak massing.
Other
park elements include an amphitheater and bandshell with rows of
limestone-like seatwalls, a Donor Plaza, a one-acre skating pond,
floating fountain, year round gazebo and six acre ellipse for holiday
celebrations and community events.
