University of St. Thomas - Anderson Student Center and Campus Quadrangle
St. Paul, MN
Damon Farber Associates, working closely with Opus Architects and Engineers, and
the University of St. Thomas is in the design development phase for the new Anderson
Student Center. Located in the heart of the historic St. Paul campus this new facility will
become UST’s campus “living room”. Damon Farber Associates is responsible for site
design of Monahan Plaza, a new plaza located on the expanded historic quadrangle.
The plaza is programmed to facilitate numerous campus events and host pre-game tailgating
for Fall football games at the adjacent stadium.
Designed in conjunction with the new Anderson Athletic & Recreation Complex the two
projects will have a strong relationship to each other, the historic quadrangle, and the
existing football stadium. Student circulation, quad reconfiguration, tree preservation,
fire truck access, outdoor event spaces, and low maintenance landscaping are all being
studied to ensure a successful project.
